Our client is the owner of an amazing 5* hotel resort in Zanzibar. Zanzibar is located on the East side of South Africa. Currently is Zanzibar very often searching the place for the exotic holiday. The resort offers accommodation in approx 50 bungalows, suites and villas. Hotel resort has a lot of leisure time activities – guests can spend a time relaxing with various procedures or yoga. For active guests is a ready selection of water sports on the waves of Indian Ocean.
Skilled candidate for the position of Financial Controller will control day to day operations of the hotel’s Accounting department, preparation of financial budgets and he will manage a team of Accounting department. This position fit to persons with an excellent awareness of hotel environment, analytic thinking and especially persons, who are interested in the jobs abroad.
Job description:
• Regular controlling and analysis accounting and financial results of the hotel.
• Namely preparation of hotel’s financial budgets, analysis, reporting.
• Ensuring of using hotel IT system and it is safeguarded and properly maintaining.
• Implementing future changes.
• Making extern and intern audit of the hotel.
• Managing of capital expenditures.
• Leading of the team of Accounting department.
• Frequently reporting to Hotel Manager.
• Identification of hotel needs and appropriate opportunities.
What do we require?
• Higher education focused ideally on the economic or financial segment).
• 3 years of relevant experience from the position of Financial Controller/ Manager at hotel or leisure segment.
• Knowledge of Hotels Software or Property Management Systems, knowledge of Fidelio is an advantage.
• Fluently English is a MUST, Czech or Slovak is an advantage.
• Analytic and strategic thinking.
• Person-oriented on numbers with advanced organization skills.
• Strong knowledge of MS Office.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Knowledge of accounting system.
