A new luxury project is coming soon to the center of Prague and we are looking for a creative culinary professional for the position of Executive Chef. This role is ready for a candidate with a hands-on approach and passion about modern gastronomy trends. Senior experience in a similar position within demanding environment of international chain is required as well as the willingness to become an important part of successful establishment of a well-known hotel brand on the local market.
Job description:
• Responsibility for the smooth running of the kitchen – setting the highest standards in food preparations,
• Masters the budget and financial objectives of the dpt., food cost control, warehouse management,
• Creating a permanent / seasonal / special menu focused (mainly but not only) on Asian type of cuisine,
• Staff selection, cooperation on training activities focused on adequate job performance of culinary team,
• Close cooperation with the board even before the opening (suppliers, equipment, technologies etc),
• Compliance with safety and hygienic standards, administrative tasks according to general duties.
We require:
• experience in a similar role (Executive Chef / Head Chef) from an international environment – min. 3 years,
• higher education focused on gastronomy, EU citizen only, perfect English (+ Czech will be welcome),
• strong leadership skills, natural respect and authority – able to lead a team of multiple outlets,
• knowledge of 5* SOPs and general overview of day-to-day operations in other departments…
