Event Manager – Visitor Center/Museum, Praha

As the Event Manager, you play a pivotal role in creating unforgettable moments for schools, tourists, families, and tours. This enchanting destination is a hub of chocolate-related activities, including workshops, guided shop tours, and a delightful bistro. Your leadership and expertise are essential in ensuring that every visitor enjoys a rich and immersive chocolate experience.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Visitor Engagement: You are the heart and soul of the visitor center, responsible for ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere. You engage with visitors, helping them navigate through the various chocolate-related activities and ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
  • Operational Oversight: Managing day-to-day operations is a core responsibility. This includes supervising staff, overseeing ticketing and admission processes, and ensuring that all aspects of the visitor center run smoothly.
    Staff Management: You lead a diverse team of chocolatiers, tour guides, and restaurant staff. Your role involves recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations, creating a cohesive and efficient team.
  • Chocolate Workshops: Coordinate and facilitate hands-on chocolate workshops for visitors of all ages, helping them create their own delicious chocolate treats. Ensure workshops are educational, engaging, and tailored to different groups.
  • Guided Tours: Oversee guided tours of the experience center, providing visitors with insights into the art of chocolate making, the history of chocolate production, and the products available for purchase. Ensure tours are informative and enjoyable.
  • Bistro Management: Supervise the bistro, ensuring a delightful experience for visitors. Collaborate with the chocolatiers team to curate a menu that highlights chocolate-infused desserts and beverages.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of quality in all aspects of the visitor center, from the ingredients used in workshops to the cleanliness of facilities. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Strive for excellent customer satisfaction by addressing visitor feedback and continuously improving the visitor experience.
  • Marketing and Promotion: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement marketing strategies to attract a diverse range of visitors, including schools, tourists, families, and tour groups.
    Financial Management: Responsible for budgeting, revenue tracking, and cost control to ensure the visitor center operates efficiently and profitably.
  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Previous experience in the hospitality industry, ideally with a focus on visitor experiences.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Passion for chocolate and a solid understanding of its production processes.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills – very good English and Czech language.
  • Organizational and problem-solving abilities to handle day-to-day challenges.
  • Creativity and innovation to continuously enhance the visitor center’s offerings.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the food service and tourism sectors.
  • 60-65.000,- CZK plus bonuses
