Resort Manager – Luxury Resort, Zanzibar

We are seeking an exceptional Resort Manager to lead operations at a luxury resort on a dream destination - Zanzibar (Tanzania). This position offers a unique opportunity to oversee a world-class resort, work alongside a passionate team, and ensure long-term progress. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, this is a life-changing two-year experience, on an idyllic island.

Job description:

  • Oversee and manage all daily resort operations to ensure exceptional guest satisfaction,
  • lead, train, and inspire a diverse team, including two assistants,
  • develop and implement operational strategies to achieve excellence in all departments,
  • establish and monitor resort goals, manage budgets, and optimize financial performance,
  • handle guest interactions and ensure the highest standard of service,
  • maintain sensitivity to local culture and foster positive relationships within the community.

We require:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a managerial role within luxury hospitality,
  • proven experience in an international environment with a deep understanding of global standards,
  • fluency in English at a native or near-native level; additional languages are an advantage,
  • strong leadership and communication skills with an open-minded, proactive approach,
  • ability to multitask and manage complex operations,
  • expertise in budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.
